Eid Abdelmassih – Director

Eid’s mission in life is to help refugees and immigrants from the Middle East to adjust life in Houston and be connected with God. Eid helped plant a church in Egypt and immigrated to the USA in 2009 as a member of New Covenant Presbytery. He holds a Bachelor of Theology from Cairo Seminary and a BA in Philosophy from Cairo University. He has also studied media and communication at the graduate level at Zagazig University in Egypt. Recently, he got his Master of Arts in Theological studies from Fuller Theological Seminary at the regional campus in Houston, Texas. Eid and his lovely wife Neven are the parents of Rose, Sam and Yousef, their wonderful children.

Who we are?

Houston Hope of the Nations was established in 2009 by Rev. Eid Abdelmassih Hanna to help immigrants and refugees from the Middle East. The mission of the center is to help the Middle Eastern community adjust life in Houston. They do this by helping them to grow in their relationship with God, providing physical help, counseling, job search, ESL (English as Second Language) and Bible study. The Center helps people from several countries, including Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan and Lebanon. Our weekly worship meetings include people from many nations.

What we do?

To accomplish this mission, the center has several activates which include the following programs:

– English as a second language

– Helping with the job search

– Providing furniture and food

– Hope International Fellowship on Sundays

– Home Bible study groups to those who are new believers

– Outreach events

– Building friendship with American churches.

How can you be involved?

There are several ways you can be involved in this ministry:

-Adopting a family from the Middle East. Adopting a family means to pray for them, visit with them and develop a relationship with them to know their story.    

-Attend our Sunday afternoon worship and fellowship time.

– Joining our prayer team.                

– Receiving our newsletter.
